Senior Business Analyst | Insurance SaaS | Permanent, full time | Sydney, Hybrid, $145k + super



We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to play a key role in delivering customer solutions across a modern insurance technology environment.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who loves the craft of business analysis — discovery, requirements, functional design, stakeholder alignment — and who wants to work closely with customers and delivery teams to bring complex solutions to life.

What you’ll be doing



As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end analysis across customer engagements, including:

Leading discovery and requirements workshops with customer stakeholders
Translating business needs into clear, testable, traceable requirements
Producing functional documentation and process models to guide delivery
Working closely with delivery, engineering, product and QA teams to ensure shared understanding
Supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning and solution walkthroughs
Validating solutions through functional testing, UAT support, and early feedback cycles
Building trusted customer relationships through clear communication and strong delivery leadership
Helping strengthen BA best practice, templates, and ways of working across the team


What we’re looking for

Essential experience

7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in insurance or a similar domain
General and/or commercial insurance knowledge
Ideally experience in customer facing roles
Strong background delivering solutions end-to-end across multiple projects
Agile delivery (user stories, backlog refinement, sprint planning)
Experience supporting solution validation through functional testing and UAT


Nice to have

Exposure to integrations, reporting, automation, or data flows in insurance
BA certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Agile certifications (Scrum Master)
