Role Description:
Looking for a VP CS. The company is at €8 million ARR, with 20-25% YOY growth. They have been successful over the last years despite not having a performance-based culture or clear structure. The inbound machine is highly effective, generating 100+ leads per month, but there is a 2% monthly churn rate, which needs attention. Over 90% of clients are outside the Netherlands, making Dealroom a very international company.
Goals for this VP:
Retention is the biggest challenge.
Current license churn is 24%, mainly with VCs and Corporates.
Net retention is 84%, with a goal to grow to 100%+.
Implement processes to increase adoption.
Build a culture of upsell/expansion (some team members are focused on support rather than expansion).
Manage the team effectively.
Unique Aspects of the Company:
Thought leader in the EU Startup and VC space.
High volume of inbound activity.
Competition is mainly from US-based companies, which lack comprehensive data.
Growth Perspective:
Potential to grow into a VP Revenue role (Sales/Marketing/CS).
Must Haves:
Experience selling €10k to €50k deals.
Experience managing a CS team of at least 5 FTE.
Experience working at unstructured scale-ups.
Experience leading a younger team.
Clear career progression at at least one startup.
At least a 2+ year stint at a startup/scale-up.
At least 1-2 years of CS leadership experience (ideally more).
Hungry for growth and success.
Nice to Haves:
Ability to present at the board level.
New business leadership experience.
