Package: Base salary - $120k-$160k Base + Comms
About the role
A specialist Australian technology provider is hiring a BDM to drive new client acquisition across Education, Aged Care, and Not-for-Profit organisations. This is a consultative, end-to-end sales role focused on building relationships with senior stakeholders and winning new business for an applications and data solutions portfolio, with scope to expand accounts into consulting and managed services over time.
What you’ll be doing
Win new clients: Identify, engage, and close new logos across Education, Aged Care, and NFPs to hit quarterly and annual targets.
Consultative selling: Run discovery with CEOs, Principals, Business Managers/CFOs, ICT Managers and leadership teams. Translate operational and compliance challenges into clear solution pathways.
Self-generated pipeline: Create the majority of your own pipeline, supported by targeted marketing campaigns.
Own the full cycle: Prospecting to proposal to contract signature, collaborating with technical and consulting teams to build strong commercial cases and outcomes-focused proposals.
Be in market: Minimum 2 days per week in the field meeting prospective clients, plus 1 day per week in-office for collaboration (flex WFH available).

Application and data solutions (including workflow, integration, automation, reporting, and data management tools)
Consulting services (application/data reviews, ICT reviews)
Professional services and managed services (as relationships expand)
What we’re looking for
Proven success in new business acquisition and consultative selling (you can build a patch and close).
Experience selling technology solutions/services into Education, Aged Care, or Not-for-Profit is highly regarded.
Strong at simplifying complex concepts for varied stakeholders and building trust quickly.
Comfortable working autonomously day-to-day, while collaborating closely with delivery teams.
Background in sales, consulting, or operations within relevant sectors is a plus.
