Product: AI-powered omnichannel customer service platform built specifically for the energy sector and other regulated industries
Today, their platform platform is already live and operating at scale with several of the largest German energy utilities, as well as additional pilot customers.
The long-term ambition is clear: to become the leading AI-native customer service software for regulated industries, starting with energy and expanding into sectors such as telecom and insurance.
Size and Functions of the Local Team
Founder-led organisation
Very close collaboration with the CEO and CTO
Sales currently driven primarily by founders
Goal: transition into a scalable, tech-enabled sales organisation
Initial focus on external distribution (partnerships), followed by internal team build-out
Role Description
This is the first Head of Sales hire.
The mandate is to work side by side with the CEO to transition from pure founder sales → founder-led sales → a scalable commercial organisation.
Key objectives:
Scale current seven-figure ARR to eight-figure ARR by the end of 2027
Establish the company as the leading customer service platform for energy providers in the DACH region
Develop additional revenue streams beyond energy (e.g. telecom, insurance)
Go-to-Market & Distribution:
Design and execute a partnership-led growth strategy
Build a structured partner programme (system integrators, technology partners, ERP partners, consultancies such as Accenture)
Create a scalable distribution network within the German-speaking ecosystem
Select, build, and own relevant sales channels (online and offline)
Hands-on Responsibilities:
Direct responsibility for B2B customer acquisition (enterprise & mid-market)
Own the full sales cycle from first contact to contract signature
Define sales strategy, processes, tools, and KPIs
Build the foundation for a growing internal sales team
Co-hire, onboard, and enable new sales hires (mid-level, key account profiles)
This is a highly hands-on leadership role, working extremely closely with the CEO.
Success Criteria (After 12 Months)
Ownership of 5+ new customers generating €1M+ ARR (including deferred revenue)
Acquisition of at least 6 new qualified leads with a combined ARR potential of €500K+
Closing at least one enterprise-level sales partnership (e.g. system integrator, technology or ERP partner)

Must Haves
5+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience
Experience building and scaling sales organisations
Strong understanding of AI-based software products
Proven leadership capability and credibility with senior stakeholders
Experience with partnership-led growth or complex sales ecosystems
Very hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable building from scratch
Strong presence within the German-speaking B2B ecosystem
Native-level German, fluent English
Nice to Haves
Background in energy, telecom, or insurance

Experience in complex enterprise sales environments

Base salary: ~€100K (flexible upwards for the right candidate)
