About the role
Own a territory. Build a business. Get in before the story's been told.A Microsoft-backed cybersecurity and IT automation platform is opening up a rare seat: Senior Account Executive, ANZ — a 100% new-business, direct-sales role with genuine equity upside and a real shot at running the region.
This isn't a maintenance job. The business was founded in Sydney by former Microsoft Intune specialists, backed by a major US growth-equity investor, and has spent the last two years finding its feet after a strategic detour. New CEO, new CRO, and a rebuilt ANZ leadership team are now refocusing 100% on direct enterprise sales — which means the ANZ sales floor is being built from scratch, and you'd be one of the first people in the room.
What the company does: it automates the hardest, most manual parts of enterprise device management — patching, app deployment, compliance, security posture — on top of Microsoft Intune, for IT teams who don't have the bandwidth or specialist headcount to run it themselves. Proof points on the table already: material reductions in support tickets, 100+ hours saved per technician per month, and audit-readiness that used to take weeks now takes days. Customers already include some of the largest banks, infrastructure companies and financial services brands in Australia.
Why now: device security has become a boardroom issue. The same AI tooling that's transforming productivity is also compressing the time between "vulnerability discovered" and "vulnerability exploited" to near zero — CISOs at major banks and consultancies are actively asking for faster remediation capability, and this company is building it. The urgency is real, and it's driving genuine inbound interest, not just cold outbound.
What you'll actually be doing
Hunting and closing net-new logos across ANZ — mid-market to lower-enterprise (roughly 500–5,000 employee organisations)
Running full-cycle, multi-stakeholder deals (typically 4–6 stakeholders — CISOs, CIOs, IT/technical admins) with sales cycles currently around five months and actively being compressed
Working shoulder-to-shoulder with channel partners — you own the customer relationship and drive the outcome, even when a partner is involved in the transaction
Partnering closely with an in-region Solutions Engineer and a global Customer Success team who take the account post-sale
Direct access to founder-level leadership — this is a flat structure with real influence, not a rep buried six layers down
What success looks like
What you'll need
5+ years of full-cycle, direct/new-business B2B SaaS sales experience — ideally with time spent in an inside-sales/SDR seat earlier in your career (the client is explicit that this builds the resilience they're looking for)
Comfort selling to and holding your own with technical and security-minded buyers (CISO/CIO/IT admin) — you don't need to be a Microsoft Intune expert, but you need to be credible in that conversation
A genuine "builder" mentality — this is a startup rebuild, not a brand-name maintenance seat
Experience selling through and with channel partners (without hiding behind them)
Direct-sales background from adjacent categories (security, backup/DR, endpoint management, IT ops tooling) is highly relevant; company-specific product experience is not required
Compensation & benefits
OTE in the vicinity of $320k- $350K + super — includes equity
Hybrid model based out of a Sydney CBD office
Standard AU leave entitlements, plus event/travel budget
Genuine path to Country Director / regional leadership as the ANZ (and broader APAC) footprint grows
